Integrum Social Networks allows to systematically analyse data from social networks. With the tool one can search social media (Vkontakte, Twitter, Instagram (tags only), Facebook, Youtube and all platforms and blogs monitored by Yandex) with keywords and break down the results on dayly or weekly basis. The postings themselves as well as the corresponding commentaries can be differentiated. Furthermore, the number of positive and negative statements in connection with search terms, the networks of origin, age, gender and geographical distribution can be visualised. Additionally, search queries can be saved to monitor continuously different topics. The functions enable researchers to analyse the dynamics of social networks very detailed, opening up totally new research opportunities and questions.

You can access the tool with a password through the Integrum-website. Access is restricted to 3 months for every password, starting with the first login (up to the 31.12.2018). If you need to renew your password, please contact us. There is no entitlement for automatic password reissuing.

Persons eligible for access:

  1. Researchers on Eastern Europe with a corresponding topic and residence in Germany;
  2. Members of a German research institution abroad (like the German Historical Institute in Moscow) 

To gain a password, please send a request to with the following information/attachments (scans):

  1. Professors, faculty, member of research institutions, PhD-students: Proof of affiliation to a research institution like a link to the institute's homepage, confirmation of your secretariat, etc. OR confirmation of your project leader and of your german residency (copy of your passport, etc.). Members of a German research institution abroad proof their residence in the respective country (copy of your passport, etc.); 
  2. Students: Confirmation of a research topic on Eastern Europe (e.g. by your supervisor) and confirmation of German residence (copy of your passport, etc.).
