Corvinas
Manuscripts from the collection of Hungarian king Matthias Corvinus
The term „Corvinas“ refers to manuscripts originally produced for the Hungarian king Matthias Corvinus (1443-1490). Today, there are 230 recorded Corvinas remaining from the once rich collection which have been added to the UNESCO documents project „Memory of the World“ in 2005. They are kept today in the manuscript departments of several libraries and shall, in medium term, be reunited in the Bibliotheca Corviniana Digitalis to form a single virtual resource Some Corvinas are already digitized and can be accessed online.
